My astrology journey began with a book on a flea-market shelf, at a pivotal point in my life. I had been told to apply for disability by one of my many doctors, and I was at a low point. Astrology and herbalism became pivotal in turning it around. But years later, when I thought about serving others with astrology, I had doubts. It felt weird. So I did what any spiritually minded person would do. I prayed for a sign. And I doubled down. I asked for a neon-clear one.
A few weeks and a few synchronistic conversations later, I was sitting across from Dorothy Malkie. Ninety-four years old. A master astrologer with more than fifty years of teaching behind her, living in a town of fewer than 2,000 people. And she was holding my birth chart in her hands.

I said yes, and that began our exchange. At 94, Dorothy was starting to need caregiving, and I was hungry for her fifty years of wisdom. For more than three years I traded caregiving for lessons. She was ahead of her time in so many ways. She pushed me to nail down my own methodology and to get it on paper, and I wrote more than 2,000 pages of interpretation before the AI boom. So I walked into this technological era already primed. Hundreds of hours of writing and transcripts behind me.
